Unmanned cargo delivery aircraft HorseFly is capable of delivering cargo. A deal completed in November 2019 called for Workhorse and Moog to work together on the program, which Workhorse acquired separately.

Under a pilot program approved by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration, Workhorse and Unmanned Systems Operations Group began delivering medical supplies using the HorseFly in San Diego, California, in October 2019. Type certification had not been announced by the companies as of November 2019.

As of mid December 2019, the company declined to comment on the HorseFly program's next steps. We will work with regulators over time to shape future requirements for these maturing technologies, according to a spokesperson. This could indicate that the program's scope will have to be revised in the future.
