There is currently a mansion in Mayfair that is undergoing a sale, and it is one of the most expensive properties in the area.

Located in Grafton Street, W1, the home at 85 Grafton Street, W1 has a fascinating history to tell. One of the most renowned examples of neoclassical architecture in Mayfair, along with the most expensive property currently available in Mayfair, was the former residence of Lord Brougham, the former Lord Chancellor of the Exchequer, as well as the former headquarters of Gucci clothing.

The property, which once housed the offices of the fashion powerhouse, has recently been listed via the luxury firm Beauchamp Estates and is currently available for sale at a price of $66 million (£55 million) or for rent at a rate of $48,000 per week.

In the listing for the mansion, it is stated that the mansion is one of the last private residences remaining on Grafton Street, one of London's most affluent residential streets.

During Tom Ford's tenure as creative director of Gucci, Gucci bought the home in 1998, when he was still in charge of the brand. It was only after a 24-month renovation that the company began using the space in 2000. In addition to using the space for the next decade, the company relocated to a new building in 2010.

A team of experts from Donald Insall Associates has been overseeing an extensive refurbishment of the property since Gucci left, and the property is now owned by a trust. The restoration has been overseen by a team from Donald Insall Associates.

As part of its original design, the property was created by Sir Robert Taylor and features plasterwork made by Joseph Rose, cabinetry made by John Mayhew, and a 16-foot-high ceiling. The property was originally built in the early 1770s.

Aside from the Victorian-era elements, there are plenty of modern amenities included in this 14,000-square-foot home, such as an elevator, spa facilities, and an automated security system to make the house a comfortable place to live.

Throughout the top two floors of the home there are four VIP bedrooms, including one that encompasses the entire top floor of the home, with a lounge area, study, private bathroom, and kitchenette that wraps around the entire top floor.

In this wing, there are three guest bedrooms, each of which has a mini bar, en suite bathroom, and entertainment system. All three guest bedrooms have a private entrance.

In addition to the five bedrooms and four bathrooms in the main house, the staff also has access to an additional five rooms. In the past, the middle floors of the property housed Gucci's public relations, information technology, legal, and other departments as well as other staff, whereas the top floor was the office of former Gucci CEO Domenico De Sole, who owned the building when it was owned by Gucci.

An original Georgian fireplace and parquet flooring remain from the drawing room that was Tom Ford's former office, as well as many original details, such as parquet flooring and parquet flooring.

This home used to be Gucci's headquarters and office, where most of Gucci's meeting areas and boardrooms were located. The majority of the entertainment spaces are on the ground or first floors of the home, including the receptions, drawing rooms, and dining rooms.

The workspace of Ford was also located on the first floor, where Lord Brougham used to entertain Her Majesty Queen Victoria and the First Duke of Wellington during their visits to the house.

Among the amenities of the home are a plunge pool lined with marble, a steam room lined with mosaic, and a swimming pool with countercurrent.

It has sleek stainless steel appliances and is equipped with a fully equipped chef's kitchen.

Luxury fitness and lifestyle amenities are available in the basement, including a cinema, gym, plunge pool, swimming pool, and sauna. There is also a chef's kitchen, two terraces, and a double garage on the property. The property is perfect for a family looking for a palatial residence "like Gucci," according to Gary Hersham, director of Beauchamp Estates.
