The New York City Raw Bar & Cocktail Lounge Caviar Russe
A spoonful of opulence awaits New Yorkers at Caviar Russe.
As part of its new Madison Avenue flagship, the renowned caviar purveyor has opened a raw bar, cocktail lounge, and boutique. A little less formal than Caviar Russe's Michelin-starred fine dining experience, the Bar at Caviar Russe occupies the entire lower level of the townhouse and opens at noon daily.
It has been redesigned with a sleek interior that boasts 14 chairs at a marble bar and 28 in a plush lounge that features low tables and moody lighting. However, the new space still has a certain amount of sophistication. The walls, however, will be covered with a selection of art by David Drebin.
However, let's talk about food. Under the direction of executive chef Edgar Panchernikov, who is currently in charge of Caviar Russe's New York and Miami locations, caviar and accouterments will be served at the bar. A tasting experience featuring three or four varieties can be offered to diners, or they can choose to enjoy the delicacy by the gram. Caviar Russe's imported caviar is sourced sustainably from its small-batch farm in Germany, and only the best black pearls are used.
There will be a raw bar on the marble counter that will occupy pride of place in addition to caviar. Fresh seafood will be served on the table, including oysters and sashimi as well as a selection of bar food. There is also a special menu called "Bites" that puts a modern twist on traditional bar food. You can expect to experience refined versions of classic dishes, such as caviar-topped lobster rolls and foie gras bao.
There are ice buckets containing magnums of caviar’s best friend Champagne atop the bar, which serves as a backdrop to the decadent fare. On the beverage menu, there are also vintages from Dom Pérignon, Krug, and Ruinart, along with wine from various Californian and European producers.
There are also plenty of spirits to choose from, as there is a variety of classic cocktail drinks such as Martinis and Manhattans as well as a wide selection of vodka which is ideal for pairing with caviar.
As soon as you're done indulging, head to our boutique where you will be able to browse an array of gourmet foods, such as smoked salmon, foie gras, truffles, as well as caviar. Spend enough time in the boutique and you might be ready for dinner.
