Is the bridge open or closed? Ocean Alexander's 84R yacht was designed with customization in mind, and that's just one option available to owners.
The R is for Revolution, and this model follows on the heels of this past year’s flagship in the line, the 90R. The 84R is the result of a collaboration between the builder, its longtime design partner Evan K. Marshall in London, and Arrabito Naval Architects in Italy.
Interior woods are also a popular choice for owners. A high-gloss and satin finish characterize Hull No. 1, launching this fall. In addition, buyers can choose a stone sole for the galley. Hull No. 1 features five earth-tone stone styles for countertops, backsplashes, and heads.

With its long, wide planks and grey headliner, the 84R's salon sole visually stretches its interior.
There are also electrically operated shades and three electrically adjustable helm seats, a bridge-deck Jacuzzi, Side-Power hydraulic stabilizers, and teak decks.
Its vertical bow allows this 84-footer to carry much of her 20-plus-foot beam forward, which is a Revolution line trademark. As a result of this design choice, there is an increase in internal volume.

There is a barbecue grill and wet bar on the top deck of the 84R, which can be enclosed or open. Various seating arrangements are available in the space. A Jacuzzi is available here as an option. Featured image courtesy of Ocean Alexander
As a result, four staterooms are located below decks. A full-beam master stateroom is located amidships with trapezoid-shaped hullside windows flanking it. On the centerline of the room is a king-size bed. The master stateroom is insulated from the engine room's noise by having his-and-her heads beneath the bulkhead of the berth. From starboard to port, the forepeak VIP has a queen-size berth facing aft. Space is optimized with this setup. There is an en suite head in the VIP room as well as in the master bedroom. Both guest staterooms below the VIP are en suite and have twin berths that measure 33 inches by 76 inches.

The salon also has a sense of volume, with headroom averaging about 6 feet, 11 inches. Unobstructed views of the ocean are provided by nearly 360 degrees of glass on the main deck.
It is likely that a yacht in this size range will cross open water. Infusion of resin, structural foam, fiberglass, and carbon fiber ensures the 84R's strength at sea. The sky lounge is constructed with carbon fiber and applied to high-stress areas. The yacht is further strengthened by aluminum beams in the bulkheads and ceiling.
