In spite of the fact that his recently updated Hancock Park home only just went on the market, Jon Favreau has already taken the plunge and purchased a new home, an impressive red brick colonial in Windsor Square neighborhood, a prime street surrounded by historic homes.

The "Pod Save America" co-host and Crooked Media co-founder reportedly paid just under $10 million for the stately residence at the peak of its initial listing price of close to $14 million.

According to records, the home sold well under its original asking price of near $14 million. In winter 2018, Oscar-winning producer Michael Sugar and his wife Lauren bought the property for an estimated $9 million from subprime car loan mogul Don Hankey, who is linked to several banks in the subprime auto loan industry.

Originally built as a wholesaler's warehouse for produce wholesaler Thomas O'Neill almost a century ago, back in 1914, by the architect and engineer Robert Cooper Corbett, the premises have since been renovated extensively as a result of the necessary work.

The home features tile and hardwood floors, coffered ceilings, intricate moldings and stone accents throughout, as well as modern amenities like a wet bar-equipped billiard room, mirrored gym, movie theater, and a Crestron home automation system to make life as comfortable as possible.

It is set on almost half an acre of land, and consists of a white stucco-trimmed structure that is flanked by an extra-wide walkway that proceeds from the front door through a manicured lawn before reaching a portico-adorned entrance.

Its apex features a trio of dormer windows and sits at the top of an extra-wide walkway. There is a soaring foyer upon entering the property, which introduces more than 10,800 square feet of three-level living space accented by crystal chandeliers, a wraparound staircase, and a separate lounge area flowing out to a covered terrace on the top level.

Furthermore, the home includes a formal living room with a fireplace as well as a gourmet kitchen customized with marble countertops, custom cabinetry, an eat-in island, and high-end Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances and equipped with the latest technology.

There is a separate butler's pantry that connects to the formal dining room in a blush-hued palette, spanning between an adjoining fireplace-lined family room and a separate butler's pantry.

There is a large master retreat on the upper level of the property, featuring a fireplace, a balcony, a spacious walk-in closet with ample storage, and a marble-clad bathroom with dual vanities and a deep soaking tub.

Additionally, there is a library and an office space on the property; and outside, there is a rectangular pool and spa, a fire-pit, a built-in barbecue, and a children's playhouse amidst the landscaped grounds. There is a detached two-car garage and a guest house on the property.
