Before diving into your meal, you'll also be served a white pekoe silver needle tea, which will help cleanse your palate before digging in.

When you move on to the larger courses, you will be greeted with a 24-karat gold accented cloche and be served “The Butterfly Falls in Love With the Flower,” a dish that looks like a painting of butterflies flying over a garden, featuring dozens of natural ingredients. There is also an iron birdcage for fried foie gras au jus, as well as chicken and beef soup swirled with freshly shaved truffles into a yin-yang symbol.

You will also be presented with a Thai jewelry box, which is stuffed with eight different foods, and has a money pouch made from bean curd inside. The menu offers a variety of proteins, including Wagyu beef, smoked duck breast, and Guo's signature pork chops, which come with homemade chocolate Pocky sticks that melt over the meat and are accompanied by tomato sauce. For eight hours, tofu is cooked low and slow and topped with caviar, one of the world's favorite garnish.

The final course of this meal is pu'er tea, a thick drink made using a specific fermentation process, which is traditionally served as dessert in China.

For something a bit stronger than the tea, Guo offers a seven-wine pairing curated by Max Tierno. Reservations are available online, with two seatings per evening Tuesday through Sunday.
