Taking in Views of LA From LA's New Rooftop Bar

In addition to Mediterranean-inspired food, the spot also offers a poolside bar.
Bar Clara offers an urban oasis in Downtown Los Angeles' concrete jungle.
This week, Eater LA reported that the Mediterranean-inspired rooftop bar at the Hotel Per La opened at South Olive and Seventh Street, the former NoMad space. As well as a ground-floor restaurant, bar and lobby café, the hotel will soon open a second restaurant and bar on the ground floor.

If you're hosting a summer rooftop party, Bar Clara has you covered. Coleen Morton and Rick Arline curate a wide range of beverages based on your mood, so you can choose according to your mood. Five flavors of spritzes are included in the Spritz Rainbow cocktail, whose names are matched with their colorful names: Yellow, Orange, Pink, Red, and Purple. Bottles and glasses from natural, sustainable, and biodynamic wineries also appear on the list.
Aside from flaming cheese dishes like saganaki and lamb sliders with marinated cucumbers, executive chef Courtney Van Dyke offers an extensive menu of small plates and snacks. For a more satisfying meal, you might want to order a salad like the niçoise con pulpo or a main like the herb-stuffed snapper.

In honor of Claire Giannini, the first female board member of the Bank of Italy, which became Bank of America, it was given that name. It might seem odd that the Hotel Per La occupies a former Bank of Italy building, but there is also some pretty good history behind the bar. The drinks, the food, and the view should be tempting enough.
While a bank might be intimidating, we imagine the rooftop bar will be more welcoming.
