Summit 54 To Be Launched by Kadey-Krogen

A new line of yachts has been announced by Kadey-Krogen called Summit MotorYachts.
Kadey-Krogen has built 600 semicustom trawlers, so the company is picking up the pace. Summit MotorYachts is a new brand that has just been announced. With a planing-hull form and an estimated 26-knot top hop, the Summit 54 will be the first model available.
Known for long-distance cruising, full displacement yachts that travel at about 8 to 9 knots, this long-time trawler builder offers some serious performance. For the Summit 54's hull form, naval architect Michael Peters collaborated with Kadey-Krogen, who has designed boats for Cabo and Prestige as well as Contender and Chris-Craft.

“The Summit 54 combines uncluttered indoor and outdoor living spaces, as well as performance and excellent seakeeping,” Peters told reporters.
In addition to providing stunning vistas from the salon, almost the entire superstructure will be made of glass with cut-down bulwarks from amidships to the cockpit.
In addition to the cockpit, the Summit 54 has two other alfresco entertainment areas: a U-shape dining area with table at the transom, as well as a cockpit bar set against the salon bulkhead to port.
Aft of the cockpit, the flybridge overhang offers shade below, while the centerline helm is located on top of the overhang. A davit and tender setup are all the way aft, with bench seating to the port of the helm.
Orders for 2019 deliveries are currently being taken by the builder.
