Stunning All-Inclusive Resort Opens in Mexico's Hidden Gem Region

The Montevalle region of Baja California is one of the most prominent wine areas in the country, and the perfect place for building a wellness resort is here. Explore the region with Rich Report.
Aside from being one of Baja California's leading wineries and food destinations, Mexico's Valle de Guadalupe is also becoming a wellness area with its endless vineyards and desert landscapes. Despite its reputation for being a food and wine capital, the scenic region is now adding wellness to its list of attractions.

During the week of January 15th, the area had the pleasure of welcoming the Montevalle Health & Wellness Resort, a luxury, all-inclusive, adults-only destination that offered detoxification treatments, holistic therapies, and innovative treatments.

With olive trees, lavender plants, and vineyards, this serene property sits on 10 hectares of landscape with a Mediterranean-like feel. There are 14 one-bedroom villas on this property (with six more in the works) as well as a heated swimming pool with a Jacuzzi and a number of wellness facilities as well, such as a reflexology path, a meditation labyrinth, a spa, and a tennis court.

A mix of rustic and contemporary elements is used throughout the accommodations and public spaces to create a sense of tranquility and timeless elegance. The designer Mariana Postlethwaite is based in Tijuana, Mexico. To create a sense of place, many indigenous plants were incorporated in the resort's décor and landscape to create an earthy color palette and to create a stronger sense of place, the hotel's surroundings were consulted.

In spite of this, Montevalle's focus is not only on the modern and cutting-edge treatments offered through its cutting-edge program, which is designed by Dr. Carlos Bautista, its owner and an expert in natural wellness, but also on its holistic approach to health care and its holistic approach to healing.

In addition to staying for one day, guests may also choose to spend a few hours at the resort and try one of its all-inclusive plans that offer health consultations, daily massages, vitamin IV drips, biomagnetic therapy, rife therapy, laser therapy, and even wine therapy, which utilizes grapes as a means of stimulating the immune system.
Considering the resort's wellness offerings, it's no surprise food plays a big role in its offerings. A culinary veteran chef, Raul Nuez, has been tapped by Bautista to develop the restaurant's menu, which includes snacks, which changes daily depending on the ingredients that are available at the time.

“The beauty and tranquility of Valle de Guadalupe, Baja México, inspired me to create Montevalle Health and Wellness Resort — a relaxed place away from the noise and stress of everyday life, where people can enjoy a retreat and reconnect with themselves while receiving the most efficient and advanced holistic protocols,” Bautista explained.
You can stay at Montevalle Health & Wellness Resort for $250 per day, and $495 per night if you would like a stay for three nights or more.
