This elegant diving watch was originally introduced in 2005 and has been updated for 2020 in two iterations: chronometers and chronographs. A brushed stainless steel case is fitted to the model's signature orange ceramic bezel (although in a slightly muted shade than the one found in the 2019 model). Despite the house's history of diving watches, its ceramicized dials are forged from titanium in a homage to its heritage and are enhanced by striking rhodium-plated hands and date windows that are all the easier to read.

Both watches have a crystal case back, so you can see how intricate the inner workings are, powered by in-house, self-winding movements. With the functional designs, you will be able to dive as far as 600 meters (2,000 feet) underwater with scratch-resistant crystal domes, anti-magnetic properties, and 60 hours of reserve power, all of which are extremely important for serious divers. There is an integrated steel bracelet on the 43.5mm chronometer and five stripes on the 45.5mm chronograph.

At a time when the luxury industry is reeling from the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, this release comes at an unprecedented time for the watch industry. Baselworld's cancellation was an unfortunate accident before nearly all major watch players pulled out permanently.

Due to its omission from the industry fair in 2018, Omega, part of the Swatch Group, appears to have been ahead of the curve. A lack of innovation is widely blamed for Swatch Group's withdrawal from Baselworld, the world's most prestigious watch show.
