Online Shopping's 10 Most Expensive Whiskeys

There are some interesting, collectible, unicorn spirits that avid collectors should be aware of, which is why we cover some really expensive whiskey releases here at Rich Report from time to time. No matter how much you could afford to spend to buy a bottle, you may not be able to find one. In fact, many of these whiskeys are so rare that they are not available in large quantities.

There are a few single malt whiskies that are extremely rare, prized, and expensive available right now online, according to Wine-Searcher.com.

You may not be surprised that The Macallan dominates this top ten list if you're a big fan of expensive whiskey, as it releases some of the most expensive single malt whiskys. Ardbeg, which recently sold the most expensive cask of whiskey on record, isn't on the list, but you can't buy a bottle since it sold to a private collector.

Islay distillery Bowmore and Scottish independent bottler Gordon & Macphail both held some key spots on this list, as did a very old and rare Japanese whiskey from Yamazaki. Ultimately, most of these whiskeys will be purchased by collectors who will never open them but will instead try to sell them on the secondary market as their value increases, which is a pretty safe bet today. It seems pretty awesome to buy two bottles, one to drink and one to hold onto, if you are lucky enough to have the money to do so.
