As a result of the English Tudor-style estates that influenced the design of the property, it is called Mad Dog Ranch.

The late music legend Joe Cocker had a great deal of success with songs he reinterpreted with a soulful twist that made them his own. The former Colorado home of the cover artist has now been put on the market so that one lucky buyer can add a personal touch to it.

According to Rich Report, the English Tudor-style estate, which has been referred to as Mad Dog Ranch by its owners, occupies 316 acres in the picturesque North Fork Valley, the sleepy home of the British rocker. Architect John D. Kelley custom-built the manse and guest house, which sit on 15,873 square feet, in 1994 for the late musician and his wife, Cocker - who passed away in 2014 at the age of 70 - after a long illness. There are a total of 18 bedrooms and 15 bathrooms in the lavish spread, which proves that its $18 million price tag is justified by its huge size and luxurious furnishings. There is even a historic snooker table in the ranch that was once owned by King Edward VII, as well as a collection of art and books from Cocker and his family.

“This is the most remarkable home I have ever walked into, and the attention to detail is uncompromising,” says Dan Dockray of LIV Sotheby's International Realty in Colorado. “It’s situated in the most serene and exclusive location on the West Elk Mountains; there is nothing else like it. The home is luxurious beyond expectations and yet still feels comfortable and unpretentious, an outstanding combination of vision executed in a dramatic setting.”

There are seven suites in the stately main residence, 10 bathrooms, and four powder rooms in the main residence. In addition, one of the most notable elements of the home is the massive terrace that spans the length of the house, which contains patios, seating areas, and an outdoor fireplace. A few of the details of the interior include vaulted ceilings, sweeping staircases, and stone fireplaces, all of which have an old-world feel. The property also features a formal dining room, a living room, a chef's kitchen, a library and a billiards room as well as several other rooms to enjoy.

As far as the outside is concerned, the gardens are the only thing that can compare to the château itself in terms of charm. Think about sprawling gardens, irrigated pastures over 60 acres, horse stables and dual water slides the size of an amusement park that lead to a large swimming pond, all set in an amusement park type setting. This prized pad is also surrounded by a national forest, which allows you to take part in hiking and biking trails throughout the property as well as on the prized pad itself. “The setting is powerful, enchanting, and it provides the ultimate escape,” continues Dockray.
