New Rankings Place Prada Above Gucci As The World's Hottest Fashion Brand

A few other brands moved up, including Moncler and Loewe, but Balenciaga saw its share drop dramatically.
There's no denying that if you want to stay on top with the cool kids, you better get yourself some luxury clothing from Prada.
There is no doubt that the Italian brand has dominated the list of the hottest brands in the fourth quarter of 2022, which according to Rich Report, was based on the Lyst Index ranking of hottest brands. This is the first time that Gucci has been unseat as the number one brand on the magazine's top 100 list since the third quarter of the year.
In the month of December, the number of searches for Prada products increased by 37 percent over the month of October. A number of important changes also occurred in the company this quarter as a result of these initiatives: Prada launched its first fine jewelry collection in Q4, made from recycled gold, and named the TikTok star Charli D’Amelio the face of its Linea Rossa FW22 collection (which attracted her Gen Z fans in particular); and appointed Andrea Guerra as the company's new chief executive officer.

Despite the fact that Prada trumped Gucci on the Lyst Index's ranking, the latter brand only dropped to No. 2 on the list. There was a more impressive move from Moncler, the third-placed company, which was all the way down in 17th place the previous quarter, giving it a great boost.
As a result of the 76 percent increase in searches that the outerwear company saw during the colder months, the company has climbed to its highest ranking since the fourth quarter of 2020. The two other brands that made up the top five were Miu Miu, the little sister of Prada, and Valentino, which completed the top five.
In addition to Bottega Veneta and Loewe, Balenciaga and Ugg, the following companies have also seen impressive-and sometimes unfortunate-movements during the fourth quarter of 2022. The new lifetime guarantee service and the pre-Spring 2023 collection of Bottega
Veneta have led the brand to move up to No. 6 from No. 11. There is no doubt that Loewe rose from No. 14 to No. 7 thanks a lot in part to their SS23 pre-collection which showcased Chloë Sevigny and Luca Guadagnino. For the first time ever, Ugg appeared on the list at No. 17, which represents a huge achievement for the company.

Balenciaga took the biggest nosedive of all the fashion houses just a few months ago, dropping from No. 4 to No. 11 in just a few short months. It is important to note that the Paris-based brand has had a rocky quarter, severing its ties with Kanye West and facing accusations of child exploitation in a recent marketing campaign in which they were accused of advertising.
This is quite a bit of jockeying to take place in the last quarter of the year 2022, isn't it? There is no doubt that Prada will be trying to maintain its title of "hottest brand" in the forthcoming year, as we have entered a completely new year.
