There will be a new luxury stay opening on March 16 in New York's picturesque Catskills region, which was a classic 1930s motor lodge that is being refurbished. Rich Report is pleased to announce that Camptown, formerly Carl's Rip Van Winkle Motor Lodge, has been reopened just off Main Street in Leeds, New York. You will find this multi-award-winning property nestled on 22 acres of wooded tranquility, rustic-chic accommodation, and luxury amenities.

Ray Pirkle and Kim Bucci are responsible for designing Camptown under their new company, Ramshackle Studio, which they founded after owning and operating the chic Rivertown Lodge in nearby Hudson, where they designed the stylish property. Infused with a modern yet homey vibe, the hotel boasts plenty of vintage references blended with sleek furnishings, infusing the spaces with a feeling of comfort and nostalgia at the same time.

It is possible to choose between 24 pet-friendly hotel rooms inside the main lodge and 26 stand-alone log cabins spread throughout the property, all of which offer privacy and additional amenities such as a kitchenette, wood-burning oven, living room, and patio with swings for additional comfort and relaxation. A lavish experience is enhanced by crisp Frette linens, heated bathroom floors, and the hand-crafted bath products made by Hudson Valley-based 2 Note fragrance and body care company, whose products are crafted with love.

According Rich Report, Casa Susanna will be the first Mexican restaurant in Camptown. Casa Susanna will be a tavern-style restaurant and bar with vintage French bar stools, leather banquettes, and outdoor seating for alfresco dining in Camptown's new neighborhood.

Continuing with the theme of traditional Mexican flavors, chef Efrén Hernández has designed a seasonal menu that includes items such as classic blood sausage tamales and wood-fired roasted veal sweetbreads with garlicky black beans. Fresh ingredients from local Hudson Valley suppliers have been used in the preparation of the seasonal menu.

A cozy lounge and lobby area is also available at Casa Susana, with exposed wooden beams, a grand stone fireplace, and sleek couches throughout the lounge area.

This hotel offers a wide range of amenities, including a pantry in a neighboring building, which is one of the hotel's most notable. There is a communal lounge that serves as a place for all guests to hang out, as well as a pantry that is fully stocked with snacks, fresh produce and meats that can be grilled for guests' enjoyment. In addition to a fire pit, bicycles, picnic tables, and grills, guests are provided with a fire pit, bicycles, and picnic tables.

There will be a covered pavilion with a fireplace, loungers, a sundeck with cabanas, and a pool bar at Camptown's new swim club and pool opening this summer. (Plus, if you live in Hudson Valley, you can pay a membership fee to access the summer pool.) A sauna will be added to the property's long list of amenities this fall, with an events room opening in 2024 for those who wish to sweat it out.
