New Big Bang Watch from Hublot and DJ Snake

It features an iridescent polish on its bezel and case, as well as a satin-finished titanium case.
A watch that appeals to a wide range of watch collectors and EDM fans is no easy feat, but Hublot may just have accomplished that.
In collaboration with French musician DJ Snake, the Swiss watchmaker released a new exclusive watch on Thursday. The 45 mm watch, aptly named the Big Bang DJ Snake, features iridescent polish on the bezel and case, as well as satin-finished titanium. A colorful glow is visible on the case-back of the figure, along with engraved words that remind the viewer that there are only 100 pieces. In addition to its sapphire dial and silver metal counters, the new Hublot Big Bang is equipped with Hublot's Calibre HUB1242, a quartz movement.

Watches undergo a similar process to a black PVD treatment in order to achieve the striking Newton's Rings effect, that iridescent detailing. In addition to receiving a super-hard coating, the titanium elements are colored. DJ Snake's desired colors are then precisely positioned by orienting the components to specific positions. When the application is completed, the colors change effortlessly with the light and at different angles. In order to achieve the same gradient of color on all 100 models, Hublot hardened the surfaces before the iridescent treatment.

A map of the world in the Big Bang dial is a nod to DJ Snake's travels across the world and the reach of his music to listeners around the world. DJ Snake designed the cut-outs on the outer edge of the bezel. In order to create sections, the watch's lower part is skeletonized and painted black fumé. In the semi-transparent finish, collectors can see the flyback chronograph movement, the HUB1242 Unico, with a 72-hour power reserve. Furthermore, the figure's clasp also features a "Newton's Rings" effect in black PVD titanium on its bezel and case. Both straps are interchangeable through the figure's patented one-click system.
The track "Turn Down for What" by DJ Snake first caught the attention of the mainstream in 2013. Since then, he has collaborated with a who's who of high-profile artists, such as Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Kanye West, Diplo and more. In his two songs, the DJ has over a billion Spotify plays, making him the first French artist to do so.

Since 2018, he has been an ambassador for Hublot, preside over the closing evening of Hublot's FIFA World Cup in Russia and is also passionate about watches. The duo's collaboration timepiece has arrived just three years later as the first within the partnership.
Hublot.com is now offering the limited-edition Big Bang DJ Snake timepiece for $26,200.
