With the Manero Flyback and Signature rollerball, you can keep track of important memories and milestones the old-fashioned way.

In collaboration with Caran D'Ache, a fine writing instrument manufacturer, watchmaker Carl F. Bucherer has developed a unique concept: the luxury gift pack. A high-end writing instrument, the Caran d'Ache Signature rollerball pen, and a luxury watch are included in the box set.

Caran d'Ache was founded in 1915, and Carl F. Bucherer has been crafted watches since 1888. Both brands are Swiss-made, family-run, and have been in business for over 100 years.

Using colors that match those used in Caran d’Ache pencils, the watch and pen are stylistically matched. These colors are used on the markers of the Manero Flyback Signature. Hand-lacquered triangles decorate the body of the pen in the same colors. It follows the rainbow-style that has soared in popularity in watches and jewelry, although Hubscher points out that "rainbows have six colors, while here we use 12 colors from the Caran d'Ache color wheel."

Silver dial with graphite gray subdials to match pencil tips. Its stainless steel case measures 43 mm x 14.45 mm, and it contains a 42-hour automatic caliber called CFB 1970. The casebacks are numbered from 01/188 to 188/188, and each has a flyback chronograph, date and hours, minutes and small seconds functions. With an additional blue NATO strap and gray and red NATO textile strap, it comes on a 100% recycled PET plastic strap with calfskin center.

With a deep crown-effect guilloché finish, the pen is rhodium- and silver-coated. As a reference to the red chronograph hour totalizer on the watch, a thin red line is engraved on the clip, in addition to the colored triangles on the body. There are lacquered hexagonal motifs on the cap, which refer to Caran d'Ache's graphite pencils and the watch counters. Each of them has an engraved number on the writing block, ranging from 001/188 to 188/188.

A travel pouch made of eco-friendly materials fits inside a wooden box and holds the watch and pen. Moeri estimates 30 or 40 sets will reach the US, sold in the Bucherer Time Machine flagship store on 57th Street as well as other retail stores carrying Carl F. Bucherer. The watch and pen are priced at $7,200. According to the joint press release, this set is their "first project." If you don't receive one, keep an eye out for future releases.
