There are a number of reasons why travelers flock to Savannah, Georgia, every year: manicured parks with bright pink azaleas and Spanish moss-covered live oaks, widely acclaimed restaurants serving classic Southern dishes, ghost tours through one of the nation's most haunted cities, and historic architecture in a charming downtown. There are plenty of things to do, see, eat, and drink in this Southern city - and many wonderful places to stay too. To help you plan your perfect coastal Georgia getaway, Rich Report shares the best hotels in Savannah, for the first time.
In Savannah, you can find everything from quaint historic inns to large luxury hotels. The top-rated properties were praised this year for their great locations, beautiful design, upscale amenities (rooftop bars were a favorite), and fantastic service. Peregrin, the rooftop bar at Perry Lane Hotel, was one of the favorites. Additionally, the hotel was praised for being "stylish, service-oriented, and charming throughout." Mansion on Forsyth Park was praised for its "perfect location" right on the popular park, and loved the on-site bars as well as the riverfront location.
The Alida, a 173-room hotel in Savannah's Plant Riverside District. In addition to the charming Southern city's many attractions, this hotel is a destination in itself, with a whiskey bar, saltwater pool, cabanas, a pool bar serving frosé and munchies, and a signature brunch. It is just steps away from the Savannah River, as well as some of the city's best restaurants, breweries, and distilleries. Rich Report called the hotel's location "incredible." Its rooftop bar, Lost Square, boasts panoramic views of the downtown and the river as well as casual bites and delightful cocktails.
