A human-free flight booking service will be available through Sentient Jet's artificial intelligence-based solution.

Cardholders of Sentient Jet's jet cards will soon be able to book charters via text messaging on their mobile devices. This automated text-to-book service utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) to provide cardholders with quotes and options to reserve flights without contacting a human. Third-quarter launches are expected.

User-authenticated and automated services start with prompts to collect the necessary information about the trip before cardholders are able to complete the process. A variety of charter options are then presented to them. Directional Aviation's subsidiary claims that booking a flight takes less than 60 seconds.

The mobile app is the preferred method of booking for Sentient Jet, which accounts for 35 percent of all bookings. The company estimates that mobile transactions will reach $200 million with the auto text-to-book feature and the app combined.
