An aviation fuel facility in the UK will offer sustainable aviation fuel at a price comparable to jet-A fuel at the Farnborough International Airshow.

A net-zero carbon emissions goal is part of Farnborough Airport's Net Zero Roadmap for 2030. The aviation industry's most ambitious net-zero target has been set by Farnborough Airport, which predicts a 91 percent reduction in emissions from the airport.

In advance of the upcoming Farnborough International Airshow, the airport will offer sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) for a trial period beginning July 1 and ending July 18.

Despite the introduction of SAF at Farnborough Airport 12 months ago, the Net Zero Roadmap should spur attention to its biggest obstacle: reducing fuel costs.

The airport's CEO, Simon Geere, says the airport wants to lead the way in decarbonizing aviation, and it has set one of the most aggressive targets in the industry. Farnborough Airport hopes that its outstanding customer service, modern facilities, and sustainable credentials will attract more customers to choose it over its competitors.
