Emma Stone lists her Malibu home after buying in Texas

As soon as Emma Stone has moved into her new Austin home, she will no longer need her previous home. This midcentury ranch-style house is available for sale for just under $4.3 million and sits on a bluff in Malibu, offering stunning ocean views from a birds-eye perch above Las Tunas Beach.

About $3.3 million was paid by Stone for the Malibu property. The house, built in 1958, was renovated just before the star bought it from its former owners, who featured it in Cottages & Gardens magazines before selling it to the “Cruella” and “La La Land” star. Stone’s house appears much the same today as it did when he bought it, except for some minor decor changes. A deeper shade of blue has been painted on the front door, which is the most dramatic alteration Stone made. There’s still a large brick terrace that overlooks the ocean, and the property is surrounded by native eucalyptus and yucca trees, plus colorful patches of blue agave and jade.

The house is on the small side, particularly as A-list celebrity residences go, with three bedrooms and two baths in just under 1,800 square feet. However, the open floorplan makes it appear spacious and airy. Thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows and multiple skylights throughout, it is also flooded with natural light. Two guest bedrooms share one full bathroom, while the ocean-view primary bedroom has a separate bathroom. The listing is held by Eric Lavey of Sotheby’s International Realty.

Along with her Texas mansion and Malibu house for sale, Stone also owns a posh New York City apartment and a modest bungalow in Los Angeles‘ Westwood neighborhood, which her mother has occupied for years.

While tax records and the MLS show the house measures in under 1,800 square feet, the floorplans indicate slightly more than 2,000 square feet. We suspect this discrepancy may be due to the attached two-car garage, which has been converted into a game room/office/recreation area.
