Chefs Cooking For VIPs At Centurion Lounge

The Centurion Lounge will be served by Michael Solomonov and Ignacio Mattos.
Spectators can enjoy another variety of delicious food at another tennis tournament. The US Open will kick off later this month, on August 29, following the Citi Open in Washington, DC, and attendees will be able to enjoy a range of premium food offerings during the tournament.
There will be special curated food from a few big-name chefs in American Express' Centurion Suite at the Louis Armstrong Stadium this year, which is exclusive to Platinum Card holders. There will be complimentary appetizers, entrées and desserts from Cedric Vongerichten (of Wayan), Michael Solomonov (Zahav, Merkaz and Laser Wolf in Brooklyn and Philadelphia) and Ignacio Mattos (Estela, Lodi). Among the drinks they will be serving will be the Blue Door, a gin-based Wayne’s Collins, and the IPA and grapefruit-soda Grail Ale, a cocktail made from an IPA and grapefruit juice.

There are plenty of culinary options outside of the Centurion Suite during the multi-week event. You can sample some of the food at the US Open's first-ever food event, Flavors of the Open, on August 25, if you're really interested in it for the food. In addition to the food, you'll get to watch some of the top athletes practice for the main event. Over a dozen chefs and restaurants will be on hand.
There will be chefs from Alex Guarnaschelli, David Burke, Josh Capon, Pat LaFrieda, and JJ Johnson at Flavors of the Open. As well as Fly Fish Café, Benjamin Steakhouse Burger, Hill Country Barbecue Market, Korilla, Fuku, and Van Leeuwen, you'll get to sample food from them.
Flavors of the Open tickets cost $175 and reservations for AmEx's Centurion Suite can be made on Resy if you prefer your food with a side of tennis.
It seems like a simple matter of game, set, match for both options.
