Check Out The New Shack for Shaq in Suburban Dallas

Shaquille O’Neal has decided to plant his humongous 23 feet in a suburban Dallas home that is but one-sixth the size of the massive Florida mansion he sold last year.

Although the deal went down almost two months ago in the Lone Star state, it has only been revealed via Dallas Morning News and Candy’s Dirt that the NBA legend has purchased a home in Carrollton, Texas, about 25 miles north of Dallas, according to records. Although the final sale price is unknown, the property was last listed for just under $1.225 million. With a fortune estimated at about $400 million, Shaq’s new shack clearly cost him much less than he can comfortably afford, regardless of the exact sale price.Shaquille O'Neal slam dunks into Dallas-Fort Worth with new million-dollar mansion in the 'burbs - CultureMap DallasFive-bedroom, five-bathroom European-inspired manor house, spanning 5,300 square feet on a quarter-acre plot, sits cheek by jowl with similarly sized homes.

In the foyer and formal dining room, two more flamboyant Corinthian columns flank the front door. The sprawling great room features a contemporary linear fireplace and walls of windows that overlook the backyard, along with polished wood paneling that wraps the library/office. The high ceilings were undoubtedly a selling point for the former baseball player, who stands 7’1.

Upstairs are four more bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, along with a small home theater complete with tiered seating and leather movie recliners.

There are also a gated motor court, three garages, two attics for storage, and an awning-shaded patio overlooking the lagoon-style pool with beach entry and spill-over spa.
