Azimut-benetti’s New Ceo Introduces a New Fleet

Marco Valle has been named CEO of the Azimut Benetti Group. Among the nine yachts to be launched by Valle, each with a very different style will have an aggressive launch schedule.

Marco Valle has been named chief executive officer of the Azimut-Benetti Group. He joins an Italian company that is uniting both brands for the first time in the role of CEO of a 25-year veteran, Valle. With a new giga yacht division with over 330-foot yachts, Benetti is the global leader in building superyachts (by a number of units).

The CEO of the company said the identities of the two brands should be kept separate, but the best practices of both should be shared. He said the company plans to introduce nine new yachts over the next 18 months in addition to increasing its model number from 30 to 35. “With 56 units delivered since the start of the year, we have reasserted our dominance in yachts over 79 feet,” Valle said.

Valle said despite the challenges of Covid-19, the company’s annual revenue increased from the start of the year, due to an increase in boat demand.

A number of yacht designers featuring on the company’s stage during the unveiling of most of its new models included Alberto Mancini, Ken Freivokh, Giorgio M. Cassetta, Enrico Bonetti, as well as Adrian Chisnell of RWD. Both brands have diverse lines, which can be seen in the styles of these designers.

With the Trideck, Azimut is introducing its new flagship model designed by Achille Salvagni and Alberto Mancini. In addition to the Flybridge 53, another Azimut design by Mancini will debut at the show. Taking inspiration from the auto industry, Mancini said the Trideck would employ minimalism. Mancini stated during the press conference that it is challenging to make a yacht like this look elegant, but he strived to keep it as sleek and linear as possible. In addition, you will be amazed at how spacious the interior is.

As well as a 30-meter yacht, Azimut announced a new 66-meter yacht for 2021, the Magellano 30. Verve 42 will be introduced for the US market.

The first Oasis 40 M was displayed in Portofino by Benetti. According to the company, 10 units have been sold so far. A second model will follow soon. Benetti will introduce a new category called Motopanfilo in September, which will “recreate the exact charm of the 1960’s watercraft models that made the brand famous.” Benetti will also introduce a 121-footer in its B.Yond line in September.
