An Eco-Conscious, Future-Forward Superyacht of 344 feet

It is being referred to as a “new Oceanco.”

It just proved that the old can indeed be made new again by Oceanco.

In transforming an older superyacht into a modern vessel, the Dutch yard has achieved success. After an extensive refit that was reportedly unprecedented in scope, Oceanco’s epic 344-footer, known as 1050H, was unveiled on Tuesday at its construction facility in the Netherlands.

Oceanco CEO Marcel Onkenhout announced in a statement that the yard has relaunched a completely new operation.‍

Reymond Langton Design also revamped the yacht’s interior, though pictures have not been released yet. The yacht is characterized by a sleek and modern exterior, complete with a new superstructure.

Moreover, it meets rigorous IMO Tier III emission standards, for instance, and is fully compliant with new standards in technology, safety, capability, utility, and sustainability. A superyacht can be retrofitted into an eco cruiser as beneficial to the world as creating one from scratch, according to Oceanco.‍

In a statement, Richard Hein, who represented the owner for this project, said the “almost unimaginable transformation” has guaranteed the yacht’s longevity.

Other benefits to the project include bypassing long wait times and reducing the overall build time by around a year by tweaking an existing vessel. The idea of a refit with a shorter construction time becomes even more appealing as Oceanco’s new build delivery windows are booked up until the end of this decade.
