An All-Electric Cruiser By Persico and Zagato

Using only one charge, the runabout can cover 28 nautical miles.

This zero-emission “hyperboat” is a result of the union of an Italian yacht manufacturer and a leading coachbuilder.

Perisco Marine has teamed up with Zagato to design the fully electric Persico Zagato 100.2. The 26-footer is fully electric. In creating a truly distinguished vessel, the Italian duo combined the latest innovations from their respective industries with elegant styling.

In collaboration with Milanese firm Micheletti + Partners, the sleek “no-frills” body was created. Leading Edge has optimized the waterline of the vessel to maximize both range and speed, with a classic planning hull. PZ 100.2 is crafted from advanced composite materials and weighs about 2.75 tons (2,500 kg) and can be trailered easily.

Sealence’s DeepSpeed electric propulsion system, powered by an 83 kWh lithium battery, reaches 43.5 knots at full tilt and cruises at 26 knots without noise or emissions, and is powered by an 83 kWh lithium battery. In terms of performance, the PZ 100.2 places it at the top of its class, according to its designers.

A cruising speed of 28 nautical miles will cover approximately 28 nautical miles. If you add another 83kWh battery pack, you can increase the range to 47 nautical miles, but the vessel will lose speed and weight as a result.

As with Zagato’s iconic supercars, the powerboat is limited to only a few yachting enthusiasts. Only nine hulls will be built, each tailored to the owner’s specifications.

“The project started with a common concept: the idea that it would be a collector’s piece,” Andrea Zagato, the company’s CEO, said. In the same way that the most valuable automobile models designed for uncommon customers, those always seeking excellence and innovation in any field, the boat will be sustainable and destined to leave its distinctive mark because of the most innovative technologies currently available.”

Persico Marine shipyard in Bergamo will build nine PZ 100.2 boats. The first hull should be delivered by the end of 2023.
