Accor is set to revive the original carriages of the Orient Express in 2025, when the train will make its return to the rails. A sneak peek at the train's Presidential Suite was given to Rich Report a couple of days ago ahead of an immersive exhibition at Design Miami that will showcase the suite.

There are 17 carriages from the original Istanbul Orient Express which are being resurrected by the Accor hospitality group as they have been found in Poland and have been discovered to be in very good condition.

To revive the train and return it to its former glory, the company hired a French interior designer, Maxime d'Angeac, in order to bring back the train to its former glory. In response to the luxurious design of the hotel's bar, restaurant, suites, and corridors, Accor has revealed the interior design of the Presidential Suite today, after revealing the interior design of the bar, restaurant, suites, and corridors earlier this year.

"An expression of extreme luxury and ultimate comfort, the Presidential Suite is the epitome of the future Orient Express. "For the most discerning travelers, it's an expansive private journey that is both theatrical and timeless, the epitome of sublime refinement," d'Angeac explained.

In addition to a 592-square-foot lounge, a bedroom with a bathroom, a living room, a secondary sleeping car, and an office, the suite is equipped with the work of art deco pioneers Jacques-Émie Ruhlmann and Armand-Albert Rateau, a designer team responsible for creating a space that aims to provide "pleasure, escape, and reflection," according to an Accor statement.

As part of the opulent suite's interior appeal, there is a gas fireplace, Lalique panels, and custom furnishings covered in velvet to add to the uppermost level of luxury. In addition to these original features that have been meticulously restored in this hotel, there are also many features that are part of the hotel's history, including Nelson and Prou marquetry, solid mahogany detailing, and historical artwork.

"The Orient Express — the legend — is not easy to reimagine. It is quite the technical challenge. When beginning the project, we set out to create an experience that transcends time and trends, a décor that balances past and present, with thoughtfulness in each detail handcrafted by the finest French artisans. It's only with great care and precision that we've arrived here," d'Angeac continued.

There is an immersive VR installation showcasing the interiors of the Orient Express, which will take its inaugural trip in 2025, at Design Miami's 18th edition, which will run from Nov. 30 to Dec. 4, which will feature interiors of the train, which will take its inaugural trip in 2025.

In 2024, Orient Express will open two hotels under the brand's name in Rome and Venice, and in 2025, a third hotel will be the latest addition to Riyadh's Diriyah Gate development, which is currently under construction.
