A Sleek Ode to 9 World Capitals in Bulgari's Newest Watch Collection

You're going to love these watches if you're an armchair traveler.
Bulgari is a watch manufacturer that divides its loyalties between Switzerland and Italy. The former is where the brand is located when it comes to the manufacture of its timepieces, but the latter is where the brand is located when it comes to conception and design of those watches.
Bulgari has expanded its allegiances by offering its newest watch collection, known as Bulgari Bulgari Cities Special Edition 2020, which celebrates nine global cities that have hosted events in the brand's history and are likely to host its most ardent fans in the future, including Rome, Tokyo, Dubai, Paris, London, Ibiza, Milan, Mexico City, and New York. In addition to featuring a 41 mm steel case with black DLC, each watch has an automatic movement and is encased in black. In each edition, the name of the city is engraved on the bezel of the watch, along with the Bulgari logo, which is one of the things that makes these watches unique.

Understanding the significance of these pieces is made easier by understanding the Bulgari watch, which is a pillar of the Bulgari Bulgari brand.
In her book, The Adventurine: The Bulgari Bulgari Collection: The Inspirations and Memories of Bulgari, Marion Fasel shares her experiences of designing Bulgari's signature watch and jewelry designs and describes the creation of the collection as "a happy accident."

For 100 of Bulgari's most loyal customers, Bulgari made a limited-edition watch in 1975. The first watchmaker to do this, Bulgari engraved Bulgari and Roma on the round yellow gold case. Because the timepiece is digital and cannot be engraved on the dial, this is the case. It also echoes the way emperors and cities engraved their names on coins, which is why Bulgari and Roma were engraved.

This watch became so popular that the brand released an analog model shortly afterwards as a result of its popularity, paired with a macramé strap that reminded of ancient Roman attachments. Introducing Bulgari Bulgari to the watch market in 1977, the company began its future in watches with its first Bulgari Bulgari collection.
