A Seattle-based CEO buys Wellesley Wild's Beverly Hills home

With a range of asking prices for nearly four years, three-time Emmy nominated screenwriter/producer Wellesley Wild's Beverly Hills Post Office home has finally sold after being on and off the market for nearly four years. Although the 90210 zip code covers a vast area, it is serviced by the City of Los Angeles rather than Beverly Hills.
When it popped onto the market after the first of this year, it was priced at almost $7 million, so the $6.4 million sale price represents a half million-dollar discount, but it's still a nice chunk above the $6.6 million it was listed for in 2019 and 20 and, more importantly, a profitable amount above the $5.6 million it was paid for in 2014.
Seattle businessman Jim Lico is the new owner of the home, according to tax records, CEO of Fortive, which Fortune magazine ranked the world's most admired company in 2020. Joshua Flagg of Douglas Elliman listed the property; Ari Afshar of Compass represented Lico in the transaction.
Marketing materials describe the nearly 4,400-square-foot home, which is hidden behind a double gated drive leading up to the front of a clapboard-clad house, as an "East Coast Traditional" with six bedrooms and six and a half baths and a variety of "designer touches." It features lustrous walnut floors offset by art-friendly cotton-white walls, stacked moldings on the ceilings, and French doors leading out to the backyard from almost floor-to-ceiling. Contemporary lights and speakers are dotted throughout the house.
In addition to the foyer, the formal living room features a window-lined formal dining room, a charming family room, and a brick-paved loggia overlooking the swimming pool. On the main floor, you'll find a staff or guest room, a bonus room/home office, and five bedrooms, including a master suite with dual walk-in closets and a marble bathroom.
A mosaic-tiled swimming pool is surrounded by grass and brick terracing, a small climbing wall is included in an elaborate children's play structure, and terraces tucked into a wooded hillside offer views of the forest.
With almost three quarters of a billion dollars in worldwide receipts, Ted and its sequel Ted 2 were both hugely successful comedy films starring Mark Wahlberg. As executive producer of the hit animated series "Family Guy," he earned three Emmy nominations. A Steven Spielberg-produced animated musical comedy series, Animaniacs, an updated version of the 90s series by the same name, he co-developed the re-boot and served as showrunner.
Lico, whose compensation package totaled more than $13.5 million in 2020, and his wife Maureen may be looking to spend more time in Los Angeles, but records show they still own a luxury home in Seattle, a 7,500-square-foot traditional with a private dock on Union Bay, which they bought for almost $6.5 million in 2013.
