A furnished Palm Springs Property has been listed by Formula 1 Driver Jenson Button

As a former Formula 1 world champion and one of the most successful drivers of all time, Jenson Button has returned from a sabbatical to drive once more after having one of the most successful careers in the sport, winning 15 races and 50 podium finishes and winning the 2009 World Championship. In the 24 Hours of Lemans this summer, Jimmie Johnson and Mike Rockenfeller will pilot the Garage 56 entry on their return to the driving seat after a sabbatical, which will mark the first time he has driven a workshop car after 14 years.
Additionally, the U.K.-born racer is also selling a Spanish Colonial-style residence in the historic neighborhood of El Mirador in Palm Springs for $2.5 million. Through the sale of this home, he is veering away from at least one of his Palm Springs vacation homes. A $2.4 million investment was made by Button and his wife Brittny in February 2022 to purchase the property.
Due to their current renovation of The Mesa Bungalows, another "Beverly Hills Hotel-inspired" property within the area, they have decided to sell. “Between my design career and Jenson’s busy work schedule, on top of our family life, we don’t have time to manage two homes in Palm Springs,” says Brittny. “We are so sad to say goodbye, but we know whoever is lucky enough to purchase the property will be very happy there.”
A walled and gated villa that was built in the 1940s by noted architect John Porter Clark features four bedrooms, four baths, and just over 3,000 square feet of modernized yet Old World-style living space featuring Saltillo tile floors, high wood beam ceilings, and French doors that seamlessly connect indoors to outdoors. Also on the property are palm tree-lined grounds with an eye-catching water fountain out front as well as a two-car garage.
In addition to the spacious kitchen, the breakfast nook features a banquette seating arrangement with Dacor and Sub-Zero appliances. An adjoining dining room opens to a living room, which is anchored by a stone fireplace, and a family room is located elsewhere. What do you mean by going the extra mile? There is a swimming pool and spa on the property, as well as a fire pit, built-in barbecue, and a wraparound veranda with views of the surrounding mountains.
Brittny's interior design firm Stone & Button is currently transforming the Buttons' Calabasas primary residence, which is in addition to their Palm Springs homes. Two properties they sold last year, one in Palm Springs and one in Santa Monica, saw the pair net a total of $9.3 million in gross proceeds.
HK Lane Real Estate holds the listing on behalf of Joseph Babineaux, who is in charge of the transaction.
